Okay, granted, it's just a directory program. But here's the history:
About a zillion years ago, I downloaded a utility called DD.COM, by David Terry, which was nice... certainly cooler than DIR, but it was lacking a lot. After a few months of using DD.COM, I got fed up with the lack of features, so I set out to build my own cool directory program. This was one of my first C programs, and boy, did I screw up a lot. The mad programming fury turned out some of the most embarrassingly bad C code. Over time, I've added features, removed various unrequested features (aka bugs), and continued to use it and think up new stuff I needed. And here it is now, still annoying the crap outta me 'cause it's still missing some key features, like Win95LFN support, although it does support >2GB drives/dirs as the screenshot shows. The docs have most of the history inside, along with sorta-kinda-helpful info on how to use D.
